de Young Copper Dots Stick Umbrella

In 2005, San Francisco's de Young museum was reborn in a landmark building that integrates art, architecture, and the natural landscape. Architects Herzog & de Meuron created a dramatic copper facade that is perforated and textured by thousands of dots in various sizes, an artistic abstraction of the patterns made by light through the tree canopy of Golden Gate Park. Now a signature architectural element, the dot pattern on the de Young's exterior inspires the Museum Stores' collection of exclusive items celebrating the West Coast's premier art museum. The de Young's signature facade is silk-screened on nylon to create this umbrella's delightful copper dot underside. Features hook handle and manual sliding to open. Measures 41 x 41 in. diameter, 36 ft. length
