These Achilles Hoop Earrings came to life just like an archeological treasure, the coin was delicately scratched with a sandpaper before molding it in wax. Achilles is the heroic Greek warrior from Homer's Iliad poem and it is meant to remind the wearer to be courageous and strong even in the hard times. Handmade hoops add the earrings a contemporary yet refined design. Designed by Alessandro Ricevuto and handmade in her studio in Italy, her jewelry is inspired by the iconographic symbolism of Italian arts, history and culture. Each piece is created with extreme dedication to ensuring each piece is realized using the highest quality raw materials and centuries-old manufacturing techniques that have been passed down from father to son in the town of Torre del Greco, one of Italy's four famous jewelry districts.
